After years of developing products in aerospace for SpaceX and NASA, Jacob turned his engineering mindset toward something entirely new—keeping lip balm safe from melting. What started as a simple 3D-printed prototype quickly caught fire on social media, proving that people needed a better way to protect their essentials.
With no outside funding, Chapie launched through a grassroots presale campaign. The demand was immediate, but bringing a new product to life wasn’t easy. The journey was filled with failed manufacturing attempts, supply chain delays, and even hackers. Despite the setbacks, Jacob and the team refused to give up, and after months of pushing forward, Chapie finally became a reality.
